Corpse Bride Bouquet

A corpse bride bouquet is a needed accessory for any corpse bride costume. This bouquet also makes a wonderful stand-alone piece or adds to any zombie bride costume. There are many ways to make a corpse bride bouquet fit your personality.

Some may choose to model their look based off of Tim Burton’s animated Corpse Bride movie. However, many options exist to make your own corpse bride bouquet, or to bouquet used in the film. Those ideas are as follows:

• Use your own dead or dried flowers. You may pick your bouquet based on the replica, or choose flowers that showcase your personality. For example, choose blue or deep purple flowers such as irises to match the wig. Or, if your favorite color is green, add some live greenery such as ivy, ferns or leaves to your corpse bride bouquet. This also contrasts the dead or dried flowers used in the arrangement.

• If you want to add additional touches to your corpse bride bouquet, try white roses, orchids or lilies and sprinkle them with fake blood. If you do not want to purchase fake blood, use red nail polish or lipstick to splatter your corpse bride bouquet. As a bonus, that makeup enhances your overall costume – that blood red lipstick will enhance a pale face.

• Halloween goers may also want to try lighter flowers to create the effect of dirt. Cover white or pale flowers with some black spray paint, or nail polish to create that dirt. This will give your overall corpse bride the look of someone coming out of the grave.

• Take the creepy effect a step further. Make a bouquet for corpse bride from fake insects and/or toy worms. These add-ons are easily available from toy stores, drugstores and party-outlet stores. To further stand out, look for glow-in-the-dark insects and worms. In the dead of night, your zombie bouquet still comes alive. In addition, those bugs and insects are truly creatures of the night that do dwell in the corpse bride’s grave.

Whether you purchase it or make a home-made one, many options exist to fully embrace the character’s chosen bouquet. Because it is Halloween, use your creativity and add your personal taste. Those extra touches will differentiate your corpse bride bouquet and it may help you win that Halloween contest.
