Creating the perfect corpse bride kids costume is fairly simple and inexpensive. You can either use an older dress your daughter already has that you don’t mind ruining from say Easter or a Wedding, or cruise the thrift stores. You’d be surprised what people give away! It’s a Halloween costume gold mine! You just need a dress that looks lovely enough to be that of a bride, next take it out and make it look like it just crawled out of the grave, literally. You want the dress to be dirty and tattered.
Next step, go out and buy some fake blood. You can get it just about anywhere and it’s usually less than two dollars. Drip it on your corpse bride child costume dress, a bit on the chest as if it came from the face, some here and there were tears in the fabric are as if they were cuts. Let the blood dry, unless you are going for a fresh corpse bride then apply your fake blood closer to trick or treating time.
Now that your costume is prepped all you need to make you kid into a corpse bride is some hair spray, dirt, and maybe a little white and black face paint to give that undead zombie look.
Essentially you want to make her hair appear as if it was once done up in a wedding fashion but that, well she’s been in the dirt awhile. Mess it up put some dirt in it and spray in hair spray to hold it in place and also give it an even more unwashed appearance.
Next you can use the white and black paint (if you chose to use it) to give her dark circles under her eyes, sunken cheeks and a pale blood free appearance. You can find pictures online for examples if needed.
Presto! You’re done. Your little girl now has a terrifying kid’s corpse bride costume and you hypothetically only spent about ten bucks. Score!
